This adapter ruined my camera's FireWire port. Do not buy this product if you don't want to ruin your devices. Basically, my FireWire port worked fine when connected to my very old Dell computer (with a FireWire port). I wanted to get creative and connect it to a newer PC/iMac PRO. After using this, my firewire port on the camera stopped working. At first I thought it just wouldn't work. So when I went back to the original configuration (camera on old PC), it no longer recognized that the camera was connected. Tried on three computers. I bought a used Sony camera and the old configuration worked. I will never buy from them again. I'm not sure why they made this product, it doesn't work. I should have listened to other reviews saying the same thing. Shame on her and shame on Revane.
