Cheap clone. Or just bad quality?

Looks and feels like a cheap clone compared to the USA made Mallory caps. On closer inspection it didn't look like the original, it just didn't have the quality. It was missing a gasket and when the clamps were tightened the cap was still loose. I made an o-ring that solved this problem. At over $30 this was a disappointment.
