Review on 🦷 Essentials Strengthen Toothpaste by Arm & Hammer by Hector Trung

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Warning! Very hard!

I hope this review helps someone not to waste money like me. Unfortunately, it comes in a pack of four, so there's no way to try this toothpaste first (unless you can find it in a pharmacy). As a kid, I was a huge fan of baking soda toothpaste. I just felt like there was something in the baking soda that really cleaned my mouth and kept my breath fresher for longer. However, I have always suffered from ulcers without knowing the cause. As an adult, I found out that SLS in toothpaste was to blame. Unfortunately, this meant I had to give up my hand and thresh toothpaste. That's why I was so excited when I saw the Essentials range come out without the SLS. After the first use I was very happy and remembered why I loved the baking soda toothpaste - my mouth was very clean and as advertised I felt my teeth looked whiter. However, I woke up with tons of dirt in my mouth, which I immediately recognized as loose mouth tissue. I ignored it and continued using the toothpaste for two more days until the inside of my mouth became so sore/sore I couldn't go on. Curious as to what might be causing this (since I had never encountered this before with any other hand and hammer toothpaste many years ago), I went through the ingredient list to compare it to one of the older formulations. In this new Essentials line, baking soda is the FIRST ingredient! This means that baking soda is the ingredient most commonly found in toothpaste. Compared to older other hand and hammer toothpastes that list baking soda as a fourth or fifth ingredient. Baking soda as the first ingredient makes it too harsh to use twice a day every day. A real shame. Had the potential to be a great pasta. The packaging even says that use should be discontinued if the mouth becomes irritated. So they are aware of the problem and continue to market them anyway. Save your mouth. save your money skip it
