Bought these filters in 2017. After using it for more than a year without any problems, I burned myself. That summer, it turned out that the humidity in my house was high. After contacting the HVAC service, no fault was found in the device. THEN we started to find mold growth. anywhere in the HVAC duct! I don't know much about HVAC but the service tech said the unit is not pulling moisture from the air, no water in the condensate pan which sounds like an airflow issue. The filter I had at the time lasted just over a month and looked clean. After replacing the filter, the humidity in my house went from 70% to 50%! Now I'm facing a cost of $7,500 to remove and replace a mold full air duct, all because I wanted to save a few bucks on air filters! NEVER AGAIN!
