I purchased this mannequin head to try out a color technique I’ve been dreaming up. Upon receiving it the color was not quite as light as I wanted so I applied bleach all over.I have bleached countless mannequin heads and never had any issues other than them not lifting well. This was another story entirely. Once I finished the application I put a cap on it and moderate radiant heat. When I checked it 15min later it was literally sizzling and once I removed it from the heat it kept getting hotter, so hot it couldn’t be touched, eventually melting the plastic cap and dripping all over the tripod and floor. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I have no idea what this "100% human” hair was made out of or previously treated with but clearly it had severe chemical reaction with the bleach.Needless to say the hair was destroyed and I had to throw the whole thing away.Complete waste of $ and bleach.
