The look pushes the bristles out right when you put them on.
Maybe my brush is too wide or the stand was made smaller than usual. I don't know, but when I put my brush on it, it's very tight and pushes some of the bristles directly in the opposite direction that you push them. Maybe a little polishing on my part will make it perfect. (Although I'm not sure how the plastic behaves when sanded) Generally the brush stays dry and allows all moisture to drip onto the base as all coasters do. I would probably recommend a better stand, but I know that for some people (me) buying a stand is out of their budget.
