Review on πŸ”’ ThermoPro TP-20 / TP-08S Meat Thermometer Case: Convenient Protection for Your Wireless Remote Digital Cooking Food Thermometer by Amanda Wohltmann

This is the snooze button

I recently purchased this item and used it for the first time a few days ago. This was intended to replace another brand's temperature sensor that monitored both the grill temperature and the food temperature. This seems pretty accurate and alerts me when the grill temp is over the preset I set in the custom setting (which annoys me because it shuts off if you exceed that setting even 1Β°). You can press the "Try" button, the silence of which is an alarm, only for it to start working again after a minute or two. So it's short term. You can also increase the grilling temperature while trying to adjust the grill's vents so you don't overheat. Maybe a little annoying, but I understand why. I would definitely like to know if my smoker is getting too hot, but I was grilling. LOL, also it's not clear how to toggle between sensor 1 and sensor 2 because the buttons don't say sensor one or sensor two. What you really need to do is go to the 'Mode' button and make sure the numbers change as you toggle. It sounds easy enough because I explained it, but to get out there and start roasting, and it's been a day or two since I ripped out the instructions, so I've forgotten which buttons supposedly toggle back and forth and how to make presets, how to switch as well as to set other settings for temperature and meat types. Just think the key labeling could be a bit clearer. I mean why do we have a button that says taste? It's like napping on an alarm clock. That silence is an alarm for a minute or two, and then it comes back with a loud beep, telling you to do it again. Overall I like the product, I think it will take me a few more times to get my hands on it. I bought a protective case for it that Revain recommended to me and I really like it. A bit chunky for storage but overall a good case. Yes, I'm savvy with electronics, but I haven't figured out how to decipher the button named Flavor as the snooze button for the alarm and set the alarm to keep going until I've checked the temperature of the grill, which isn't high -end grill. . It's just a Lowe's acorn grill that works really well. I also have a Smoke Hollow 44 smoker and infrared propane charcoal grill. Can't wait to use this probe in my smoker too.
