I usually don't write reviews until a few days after receiving an item, but this time I tried them out right away and I'm happy with their performance. My first surprise came when I realized they had been in the community mailbox for more than 12 hours in the freezing cold weather. I didn't get to the mailbox until after midnight and I was pretty sure they were broken. I brought them in and let them thaw overnight. All colors "freed" the mixing ball in a few vigorous shakes, except gold and silver, where the mixing ball still moved quite sluggishly even after repeated shaking, but they moved. Be REALLY careful when you first press the refill tip. Don't fully submerge the tip or you'll lose a puddle of paint! Some colors are more viscous than others. I drew the pattern on a piece of mixed paper and I liked the flow. I was able to mix the colors in a small puddle and use it for shading. on - too absorbent! I enjoyed the few minutes I spent with them. I will be using them to paint fine detail on the rock carvings (I bought a super fine point) but I won't be able to start this project until after the holidays but I'm looking forward to it! If they run out quickly, dry up, or have any other negative traits, I'll come back and update.
