i wash my hands often and even in winter i struggle with dry skin. Sometimes my hands get so dry they bleed. Over the years I have found that Jergen's is the best lotion for my skin. But I'm not a fan of his scent. This cream has the same moisturizing properties but smells much better. It's not too feminine (but it is feminine). I'm sensitive to strongly flavored foods and it doesn't bother me at all. I've found that I actually don't need to apply it as often as Jergen. A few tips I've learned: #1 - Always apply lotion to slightly damp skin. Never completely dry your hands after washing, only leave them slightly damp. The lotion retains moisture, when there is no moisture it doesn't moisturize as much. If your hands are too wet, the lotion will not absorb well. So find the right amount of "moisture” for your skin. #2 - If your hands are really bad, skip this and apply Aquaphor to your hands. Thick. Put on your gloves and go to bed. Then apply in the morning. Repeat the second night if necessary. It's HUGE important. This cream is great for moisturizing. Aquaphor helps to moisturize the skin when it is too dry.
