Review on Soldering Magnifying Flexible Electronics Modeling by Joe Griggs

I do a lot of radio controlled hobbies and this product is pretty reliable. I've used it quite a bit for soldering, but have also used a magnifying glass for other things like instructions or reading the fine print on electronic circuit boards. Hands are great and stay well placed but I can see what others are saying with braces. Because the clips are rounded, hollow metal that fits into the levers, the set screw tends to bend the thin metal down rather than pinch it. As a result, the clips will fall out of your hand over time. I'm sure there might be a mod that fixes this problem, but it would be nice not to worry about it. Otherwise it's a solid product. Now that I think about it. Maybe I can fill the hollow part of the clamp with solder to make it stiffer and then tighten the set screws. Hm. Maybe I'll try that.
