Here in Minnesota, maintaining a humidor in the winter has always been a problem. This usually means I drop my humidor from around November to April each year. This year I decided to keep up with the humidity with a new toy. It's a temperature/humidity sensor that communicates with my phone via the manufacturer's app. (iOS/Android). In addition to quickly showing my humidor's current status, I've set thresholds that will notify me when the temperature or humidity drops or rises outside of my comfort zone. The standard hydrometer built into the side of my humidor has always been junk, so I used a hydrometer with a digital display just behind the glass. Even though the digital hydrometer shows accurate numbers, I still have to be careful to look. Govee sensor steps. Since there is no physical display on the device itself, placement in the humidor wasn't as critical. I used the included bracket and tape to attach it to the back of the shelf inside my humidor (as shown in the picture).
