Let me start by saying that this little food processor is perfect for everyday use. It has a very powerful motor and the escape spits food right into my unlimited capacity bowl. When using the bowl of the food processor, the top of the lid has a spot where you can squirt liquid directly into the bowl. (Perfect for making pesto!) This is an airtight/leakproof system. You can also see from the photos that the liquid in the bowl will not spill when you remove the bowl from the motor. I've tried to compare the size to other items you may need to give you an idea of how much countertop space it takes up. Its footprint is smaller than a 2 liter bottle of soda! I just can't use it all the time, which means I'll use it all the time. The slicer cuts thin. Ideal for dehydrated apples. The chopper is surprisingly sharp! Cheese is not a problem. You can only use it if the parts are properly included. See photos to match lid to bowl and bowl to motor. Also remember to remove the protective plastic covers from the blades before use.
