Our Church sponsors a program to build adaptive tricycles for special needs students in our district schools. The program extracts most of the parts it needs from donated or discarded bikes, then welds new frames from raw steel. Unfortunately, most standard bike seats are too small to provide adequate support for these students, so we need to buy larger bike seats. The Kiko seat costs $22 and is a quality seat. It just isn't wide enough for many of our students and doesn't provide lateral support (the seat is relatively flat and doesn't keep the student centered). Obviously our needs are unique so this review may be of limited use to the average driver. The seat we really like for special needs children is the Sihmqik. It's $30 more expensive, but it's very wide and a bit "bumpy" so it helps kids stay centered in the seat.
