Review on 🧢 Knitter's Pride Karbonz Circular 40" Knitting Needles US 7 (4.50mm) - High-Quality Carbon Fiber Tool for Efficient Knitting by Doris Tran

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm in love. . With half needle

The needle is very beautiful, clean and elegant right out of the box. Looking at it, most of it seems well constructed. I've used both aluminum and bamboo needles, and while I prefer the "smoothness" of aluminum needles, I absolutely hate the yarn tension of bamboo needles, even though they hold yarn better. . It's the best of both worlds. The nickel tip ensures a smooth transition of the thread from one needle to another, while the carbon body holds the thread and prevents it from falling out. Depending on the yarn, you may need to slide the yarn down the needle a bit rather than moving as you knit. Some circular loops get caught where the line meets the needle, it doesn't get caught at all. It's a perfectly smooth glide from cord to needle, you might even forget you're using circulars. When I first started using it, the cord had a habit of twisting into a loop, maybe due to the way it was packaged, but after a few hours of use, it completely detached itself. The needles are very light, so light you can feel the difference between these and bamboo or aluminum needles. That's all I like about needles. What I didn't like was that one side of the needles wasn't properly tapered. One side of the needle is a smooth transition from the point to the shank, on the other side there is a distinct line where the point ends and the shank begins. It's not enough to make the needles unusable, but it's definitely enough to create annoying drag in the yarn and prevent one needle from sliding freely over the other, you'll feel it more with a purl stitch. That's even worse than how smooth the other side of the needle is. For nearly $18 for a single needle, which I consider expensive, I would expect the manufacturer to pay a little more attention. It's bad enough that I don't feel motivated to try more Knitter's Pride products in a hurry, especially since I ship worldwide and there really is no point in returning it.
