I have a 1969 Triumph with a 250cc engine. When it came time to separate the crankcase, I was terrified that the two halves would never separate. I had to use different bolts than the ones that came with the splitter because the threads on this motor were different (20 vs 24 TPI) but after a few turns of the broken rod there was a loud pop and it came apart cleanly. I don't know how often I will need this tool in the future, but the investment in this project was definitely worth it. The levers were long enough to give me a few options for mounting the splitter, and the welds held up well (I've seen reviews of other splitters where the welds broke after minimal force).
