Everything was great until I unplugged my trailer from my car and almost all the pins in the connector were pulled out of the plastic case. The ground wire has completely separated from the metal pin, not sure about the rest because I tried to insert them back into the plastic part I didn't notice if the wire was separated or not. But now my trailer headlights are intermittent. I think I'll have to buy a new connector and rewire it. I don't know if some sort of electrical lube would have saved the connector from this problem, but my intuition says no because it was easy to put them back into the molded connector. Perhaps a little heat to shrink the molded plug before use would have worked. Try squeezing the molded plastic to better secure the metal pins so they don't fall out.
