I have an old X-10 control system for my living room lights and unfortunately the Energetic lights did not work properly with this system. After turning off the lights with the X-10 controller, the lights came back on after a few seconds. Otherwise, the color temperature almost perfectly matched the soft white GE bulbs I had in my bulbs before. However, when dimming Energetic lamps, the color temperature does not get warmer than incandescent lamps. I sent back the Energetic bulbs and decided to try the Philips LED bulb. Revain was out of stock so I ordered it from Home Depot. The Philips lamp should give off a warm glow when you dim it. I look forward to trying out this feature. I'd like to keep the Energetic bulbs because they only draw 21W while Philips uses 29W for pretty much the same lumens.
