I bought this fan/light assembly and packed it for my next trip. During this waiting period, the return period has expired, so I cannot return. On the next ride, the first night, the fan worked for several hours, after which it started ticking. Within 30 minutes of the noise starting, the ticking got louder and then the fan stopped working. The light still works, but the fan does not work fully. All of this happened without a touch when the fan was turned on a few hours earlier. I recommend doing more research before spending money on this device as I have doubts about the quality of the fan part of this device. The reason I bought the fan and light combo is because it attaches well to the bunk support pole and easily plugs into the RV's power system. However, I now have doubts about the quality of the manufacture of the device.
