Much thinner than the actual Mopar part

The metal holding both parts together is much thinner. It only looks thick in the picture as black plastic is wrapped around a thin piece of metal. It's like half of the interior is metal and the rest is just black plastic packaging. At the moment it is doing its job and the old part only failed due to mishandling. As long as I feel good about it, he should hold out...hopefully.
