Most importantly they stink fresh out of the box. Most people can probably tolerate it, but my pregnant partner stopped using them until they were washed. The smell goes away after the first wash and they come out of the dryer very soft. Originally bought to dry hands in bathroom (tired smell from wet towels). Hard paper towels, very thick, like a mix of heavy duty paper towel + worn out microfiber towel. 2-3 rolls should provide for a family for at least a year. The price is great for the budget conscious or those looking to stay to make money. Just bought 2 more for the kitchen.
