I have actively tried four different brands. I only play outside. On a windy day when light balls fly away, this ball holds its position better. The sphere has two different sizes of precisely drilled holes. It is specially designed for outdoor play. It's a hard ball with higher bounce and more power than some of the other popular brands and really improves my serve. What I like most is the durability of the ball. I can use them twice as often as some brands I've tried that cost a little more than Onyx. It's easy to see why this pickleball brand is so popular among pickleball fans. I tried Onyx first and keep coming back. As far as I know, this is the best pickleball for outdoor play.
