Cobiz hot glue gun with 60/100w power options worked well for my intended projects as well as at least one unintended project. My 10 year old got in trouble with a baseball. playing ball with his older brother. As a result, the receiver broke near the temple of his glasses. When his glasses broke one day, we tried superglue (no) and duct tape, but they were extremely wobbly "fixes". Happy to report the glasses are holding up pretty well with this new heat melt gun and hopefully will last until the next visit in a month when he can get his new glasses! (I mentioned this is the second time the frames have broken, insurance doesn't pay twice. ;/) I'm also impressed with the strength of the craft glue. I tried my hand at a pallet rack made out of popsicle sticks, it turned out to be pretty sleek and VERY durable! I haven't tried 100w as I don't need a wide beam of glue just yet, but this 60w creates a much stronger bond than any of the low temp glue guns I've used in the past. I will say that the initial warm up and delivery of the glue sticks took more than 3-5 minutes but subsequent use was right around that mark. I wish the wire stand was a little less flimsy, but so far it hasn't caused any problems. The 4 inch sticks I'm used to should be enough for a couple of projects!
