I bought this for my friend. The mechanic was repairing his car when it broke down. The mechanic said there was oil around the number four spark plug which shorted out the solenoid. He told him he needed a new washer if he could get it or a new oil cap. It's not a Volvo mechanic, but I use it all the time. My friend had to fill almost every other tank of gas in his car. There was no sign of oil leaking from the filler neck, but we went ahead and replaced it. He stopped pouring oil in his car. This confirms where the oil came from, resulting in a $120 repair. I suggest if you look at this item replace it.
