This is a great product made from durable plastic... I bought this to attach to a backyard playset I bought for my 3 year old grandson to have in his own backyard across the street can watch. Product Overview: This is a non-metal toy, but it is lightweight and works well in small hands. You need a solid 2-3 inch mounting space that can accommodate two screws. This can usually be accomplished with a 4" x 4" if your playset has one. We had no luck with where we wanted to install it. So I had to install some small 2" x 4" pieces of wood to create this space, no big deal just a few extra screws. The telescope is easy for children to maneuver and they love it. And it brings things close enough to get excited. I highly recommend this telescope even if you only have a soundboard. Of course I suggest that you also buy a nautical steering wheel, pirate flag and bell to have all the paraphernalia of a pirate ship. :-)
