I am a professional home and personal chef and also teach cooking. I take all of my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving items and other accessories very seriously and when I test and review culinary items I am very critical and meticulous in rating and rating. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good... bad is bad! I've been looking for a 4 slice waffle maker that works really well for a long time. This is one of the things I've been missing in my home kitchen. So when I had the opportunity to test and review this Elehomes waffle maker, I was excited to hope that it would finally meet my needs and desires. I wasn't disappointed! This device is well built and very reliable. The controls are intuitive and simple. The cleanup is as painless as it gets! My testing was done using my favorite Kodiak Cakes pre-mixed pancake/waffle flour (available at Revain and your local supermarket). I preheated the iron according to the instructions and when the green ready light came on I sprayed a small amount of canola oil on the top and bottom shelves. Waffle iron and spread with a spatula to evenly coat all corners of the base. Close the lid and set the dial to level 3 to check. After about three minutes the green ready light came on and when you opened the lid you saw a beautifully cooked and fluffy 4 slice waffle! Thanks to the non-stick coating, the waffle is easy to remove and leaves no marks on the grill plates. Once you've found the level of browning that suits your taste, this setting will always give you the same result using the same ingredients. I'm glad I found this waffle maker which is exactly what I was looking for and meets my needs. It is used regularly for breakfast in my home kitchen!
