Works well with my new IM6 medium-duty graphite rod, but doesn't fit my old Berkeley lightning rod because the rod is thicker. There is an issue with the leash getting caught in the velcro but I fixed it with some quick duct tape. Be sure to heat the tape slightly so it sticks well. Have used similar tape for other things and heating the tape will make it last a lot longer. Do not overtighten the tape, just enough to pull the tape over the edges of the Velcro. Should last until the season. My son in law will get it.
