Unlike many other reviewers, I received all 4 working. I bought these for my kids to have a timer to keep track of their electronic time. Now they have no excuse for playing too much. :) One of the 4 has a slightly different sound than the other 3, it is tuned a little higher. I do not know why. I put new batteries in all 4. One thing to note is that there is a power switch on the side. If you turn this off, the timer will appear broken as nothing will appear on the screen and there will be no response. However, this is to be expected. If you turn EVERYTHING off, expect it not to work. In the package I received some of the switches were on and some were off which was confusing at first.
