I'm embarrassed at the amount of money I spent on this friggin' Babyliss hair dryer, but I wanted to spoil myself with something high end for once. At nearly $200, this MF dryer should have come with a diffuser AT MINIMUM; but alas, it only came with 3 of the exact same concentrator attachments (really?) After an extensive search, this was the only universal diffuser attachment that seemed to be compatible with the model I have, and I thank the 3 previous reviewers who also purchased this for their Babyliss Pro Rapido hair dryer. I'm taking off 1 star since the mechanism inside the diffuser that "clamps" around the end of the hair dryer results in an alignment that's not completely straight; however, this didn't affect performance (in other words, the diffuser is every so slightly off balance when completely attached, but it does not fall off during use). Also, one of the rubber "pads" (there are 4) inside the diffuser attachment that grip the end of the hair dryer had already fallen off when I initially opened the package. I was able to re-attach it after a few frustrating attempts- it hasn't fallen off since. I do like the performance of this diffuser and I'm elated that my overpriced Babyliss Pro Rapido dryer can now be utilized to its full potential on my thick, curly hair. The diffuser has not fallen off during use so far (I've used it 3 times). This model hair dryer is capable of reaching extremely hot temperatures, and I have not observed the melting of or heat damage to any of the plastic components comprising the diffuser. Would definitely recommend.
