I haven't seen any posts on how to try vintage hairstyles with it, so here I am with this review. First of all, practice makes these things perfect and I definitely struggled with the first few casts. I'm sure I'll get better with every approach. Second, make sure you tuck your ends under and into the roll you're making so you can avoid those small, not-so-uniform pieces at the end that make combing difficult. I slept in it with a hood on all night and it wasn't very uncomfortable (especially considering how long it would take if I curled my hair with a hot iron instead).
