Bought this coffee maker with an Assurion Revain gift card after our old coffee maker died. OMG what an amazing coffee maker! Very well built and easy to use. B&D recommends heating the vacuum jug with hot water just before brewing to keep the coffee hotter for longer. We've found that it certainly works well, which speaks volumes for the quality of the double-walled decanter. Speaking of which, the carafe is a bit heavy, but the "non-drip" spout works absolutely as advertised. at the end of each brew cycle so you don't have to worry about turning it off later. It has a small serving setting for 1-4 cups as well as 3 strength settings. It can also be programmed to brew automatically for up to 24 hours. It also has a built in cleaning/descaling cycle that will alert you when it's time to start the automatic cycle. Carefully! And above all: the taste of coffee. This device advertises an "Even Spray" brewing nozzle that evenly coats the coffee grounds during the brewing process. Maybe it's psychology, but this coffee maker makes one of the best delicious coffees I've ever made at home. My wife, a cooking teacher, agrees. I highly recommend this device!
