I've had a lot of Garmin (50+) so loved that 276 is back, awesome screen! It's really bulky and matches Montana's performance But , the frequency of screen updates is terrible and the software isn't up to par with the old 276 line, which had a lot of cool features: you can overlay your routes and have them always on the screen, otherwise the software is very simple and You hunt again and press the buttons 3-4 times to enter a character when setting a waypoint etc. This device is unlikely to sell very well and the software just doesn't match touchscreen devices.. Expensive, heavy, unwieldy Software is unwieldy and, like many other Garmin software, and the menu layouts are different than other devices, so you'll find that you're wasting your time mi t wasting time searching for functions and input elements in the outdated menu navigation of yesteryear. j. It might be better for sea use than land based navigation which doesn't really work :(
