This works well with my recently purchased Trek Émonda SL 5 Disc Road Bike (2019 model), my first bike with a thru axle. I was concerned that the lugs on the fork would fit properly into the adapter's outer tubes and still allow the thru-axle to line up with the tube for a snug fit. So I measured the Émonda fork before buying it, and while the spacing seemed tight, it turned out to be perfect. When installing on the roof rack, we just tightened the quick release on the adapter and it didn't rotate or wobble at all. This made mounting the bike on the rack as easy as mounting the bike with a quick release, and the lugs on the fork fit snugly against the adapter, making it easy to fit a thru axle. The installation can easily be carried out by one person. We drove an hour each way before starting the trip and back on the Interstates with no problems. My only suggestion is to lengthen the axle tube between the brackets so the axle is fully protected from flying debris and road debris.
