Review on πŸ–οΈ Exploring the Ultimate Fun: Kinetic Sand Beach Packaging Unleashed! by Victor Ceja

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A sensory product that encourages creativity! (Just keep it dry, trust me!)

* Independent Review: No discounts or freebies. We paid to play! 😁Not all "kinetic sands" are created equal, so note in the description that they intentionally made this one with a coarser grit to mimic beach sand (which it does perfectly), so don't expect the subtle softness of the fine grit Type! :- Flexibility and viscosity.- Dimensional stability (only under the right conditions).- Sensory use! This is a good pacifier for our autistic people. Self-adhesion is pretty good. If it doesn't get wet in any way (which is hard to avoid with messy, drooling toddlers), it sticks to itself pretty well. Doesn't soak into clothes either (see video), which is great! There is also a downside, see below: - This time the packaging was as advertised! It didn't come in a ziplock bag. πŸ‘- Many uses. Can be used normally on non-porous surfaces or filled into toy balloons for stress relief. I've also used it for science projects for older kids and to support some of my crooked cacti that don't like to cooperate with me - DOES NOT LOSE MOISTURE! Do you have any idea how nice it is not to have to worry about keeping the container open all night?! If only Play-Doh could do the same. But I digress. - Great hide and seek game for learning shapes, colors, animals, etc. I hide "gifts" in it and if they can tell me what it is, they get their prize. If it gets wet you just have to let it dry and it's like new. I paid too much for 2 packs. I would buy it again for half what I paid but it's not worth the money I got. (2 bags in photo and video) Deducted 1 star for this - It can hold up well on its own, but it will also find a way to stay on your carpets and rugs. If you get wet, it breaks bonds enough that you suck it up, but you don't want it in your vacuum either. I recommend duct tape or a clothing roller to try and get it out of the carpet. - Only works as described in ideal environmental conditions (temperature and humidity), which is a bit impractical if you want to play with it outside in the sun. This is the first place we took it to when it arrived and nothing held its shape at all. In the video I was in a house with 20% humidity control and 68-70 degrees or so. - This is not a toy that you can leave her alone with even for a second. Requires CONTINUOUS supervision. It may be non-toxic, but the nature of polydimethylsiloxane (which is the "secret" ingredient, if too much internet searching and a phone call to my former professor is to be believed) causes it to be sticky, which means it is extremely dangerous, swallow it and huge. Pain when it gets into your sink or toilet! As you can see in the video we went a little crazy with the water because we wanted to see the reaction. I don't recommend this for obvious reasons. It stuck to EVERYONE, including my child, who I had to rub with half a liter of soap to wash off their skin. Then he fell into the sewer, which was immediately clogged. Thank goodness I have a great drain cleaner, otherwise I would have had to call a plumber. Overall this is a great supervised sensory toy and really feels like beach sand. There weren't any "extra" bits or random objects that shouldn't have been there - the last brand I had had sticks of some sort. I hope my extensive research and experiments have been helpful! Please hit the little button if this was helpful as I rely on honest parents to help me decide on toys (you know who you are and thanks) so I do my best to help others ! Happy slurping! 😁
