There are many mocha pots on the market, I would not buy these because of poor quality control. Yes, you can use it to make coffee. But I would watch as many videos on how to make good coffee with a moka pot before trying this product. There is a problem with the main rubber gasket, if it doesn't fit snugly in the coffee basket to create the correct required pressure it will under brew coffee due to the lack of pressure in the boiler. With the purchase you take the risk of getting a good one that you can use all the time.
