Review on ⚡ DITEK DTK-120/240CM+ Surge Arrestor, Parallel Protector, Multi-Purpose, NEMA 4X Rated, UL1449 Listed, SPD, Type 1, 2W(+G), 120/240VAC by Craig Kimball

This rating relates to the Ditek DTK-120/240CM+ Can be set as Type 1 or Type 2. I set it to external shutdown for the HVAC compressor. I'm a homeowner, not an electrician. I have a rudimentary multimeter and checked the existing 120/240 voltage divider and ground prior to installation. The green LED is bright enough to be seen outside in Florida. It comes with a good rubber washer to close the knockout hole. Stranded wires 12 AWG. I decided to get a surge protector because I had to call an HVAC specialist this year 2020 and last year 2019. Both times they replaced the condenser in the external compressor and said it was probably due to power surges. I'm not sure why they didn't offer SPD. Hopefully they won't be visiting for a while. The time will show.
