Use this on a 2017 surface pro replacing my huge heavy laptop when I travel. Some of my clients don't have public WiFi and the only option is a network cable. So far it works and serves its purpose. When using all 3 ports with flash drives connected and a network cable, everything works. The device is quite small and the cable is thicker than my phone's USB cable, for example, but it is quite flexible. Only time will tell if it holds up with all the twists and turns. There is a very small LED on the top of the device as well as LEDs on the network side. Don't use it with an external hard drive or DVD drive, and don't try to turn on the phone. Since this doesn't have an external PS, I assume this won't work.
