RECENT COMMENTS: After about 6 months the router seems to have deteriorated. If I reboot the router, it behaves normally for a few minutes. But after that, the speed of my internet access drops. The delay for anything exceeds 1 full second or more. Bandwidth is leaking at speeds that make dial-up access viable. Tried resetting the router. I've tried enabling/disabling Streamboost and updating the firmware. None of them seem to mean much. Before that it worked so well without a single problem. I can't imagine what just happened. But rest assured that the problem keeps recurring and appears to be isolated to the router. If I connect my computer directly to the internet and bypass the router, my internet speed stays consistently high. I am really disappointed with this and have now lost confidence in D-Link in general which I have used almost exclusively for the better part of a decade with no problems. I can't go back to get my money back through Revain as too much time has passed. This means I'll have to submit an RMA to D-Link, which I'm sure will be a horrible experience. I can't wait to replace the part either as I need to keep my network running so I'm forced to buy an Asus AC1900 router. Such a waste of money, resources and a missed opportunity D-Link. ORIGINAL COMMENTS: I have had all DLink gaming routers so far. This one has a reduced set of controls on how you can customize it. Regardless, it always manages my network better than my previous one. I don't miss the advanced QOS control setting as it seems to do a great job of prioritizing traffic.
