I thought I would try to save money by buying a cheaper soldering station than one of the famous brands, 10-15 dollars more expensive, but what a stupid mistake. I unpacked the goods, turned it on and was about to tin the tip, the soldering iron tip turned red hot, I heard a slight hiss and that's it - he died. It's going in the trash and it's time to spend a few extra bucks for a well-known brand I can count on.
