This is a value-for-money chisel set that includes a hard case, double-sided carborundum oil stone, and sharpener. I have a $150 set of 20 year old Spanish Mifer tool steel chisels that I use on furniture and dovetails, but my cheap chisels seem to have legs and have disappeared over the years. Hence this purchase. I am deducting one star for the reasons given in the "Cons" section. Here are my pros and cons for this Rexbeti set. Pros: - Low cost - Good set to keep everything together. - The chisels are of decent quality and I've hit them hard already with no side effects - Take the edge well. Using my 1000 grit Japanese water stone (not included in this set) I was able to get the blade sharp enough to shave off the hairs on my arms (see chisel /4") - it won't end well for you. - Double-sided carborundum- Stone Rudimentary but works well for quick field adjustments - Comes with a sharpener but after 40 years of sharpening 25 degree hit feel, hands free Sharpens easily and quickly which is good for the job site but bad means the steel is soft Expect them to do this if I bought them This kit was designed to tap door locks or door hinges into softer woods like pine and cedar, but I always understand Google people asking over $500 for a Tormek -Spend sharpening system unless you work in a craft shop.Wood and furniture and don't sharpen dozens of chisels and planes every day.If you can't do a set of 8 chisels in 20 minutes If you can set it up manually, you're just a tool (pun intended). workplace without worrying about damaging them. This would also be a great starter kit for a new builder/carpenter. Hope that helps!
