Review on TESmart DisplayPort Switcher Supports Devices Computer Components by Hector Watkins

I bought this KVM to switch between two laptops - one Dell running Linux and the other a MacbookPro with an HP QHD monitor. I also use a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse with a small dongle. It works fine for these components. I can't use shortcuts to switch when using a wireless keyboard and mouse, but that's not a problem if I can easily reach the device on my desk. What didn't work so well was my external webcam. The toggling seems to confuse computers, which means I've had to constantly reset video and audio inputs and outputs for web conferencing. Moving the camera and conference speaker to connect directly to a work laptop was much better in terms of both image quality and usability. I don't know if this problem is caused by KVM or how each computer's OS and hardware reacts to devices appearing and disappearing on each switch. In general, I am satisfied with the performance.
