It was perfectly protected from the outside, I had bought magnetic rings from others before and had never seen anything like them. In terms of actual magnetic properties, they work quite well. They are kept on the refrigerator and pearl beads. I like the price for the amount. These magnets are very strong. My girls also use these magnets for crafts.
