Review on 💪 Enhance Performance with KYB 340066 Excel-G Gas Strut - Black by Roger Sanders

Perfect for my 2005 Acura TL. After 215,000 miles the originals were shot (probably for many years). My final symptom was the lack of travel, if any, I felt tiny rebounds. The car felt like a cart. Not what is normally associated with worn out shock absorbers. They were ordered around midnight on Thursday and arrived on Saturday morning. There was no difficult exchange. There are videos on YouTube that will help. You have to edit the corners to remove and replace them. Once the old one is free, raise the hub to make room in the top leg so you can lower and remove the brace. I used a spring compressor from a local parts store (buy it and get your money back). This included new rubber for the upper brace. I reused three parts from the original cartridge (urethane shock absorber, shroud and rubber bushing for the spring flange). After installation I noticed that the ground clearance hasn't changed at all (if that matters to anyone), the niches in the wings are about 26.75 inches from the ground. This restored the suspension to how I remember it and was exactly what I was hoping for. "It turned out that the old ones were very stiff and had no rebound. It took all of my weight to squeeze them together and they just stayed squeezed. That explains the symptom.
