I am concerned that one of these dampers arrived broken. I understand the crappy packaging but how long will they last in my washing machine if they don't stand up to shipping. The photo shows where the part broke. It's in a supercritical, overused zone, so gluing it doesn't work. They fit perfectly with my Whirlpool Duet Sport WFW8300SW00 washing machine. My car only needs 3 shock absorbers so I was able to complete the job even though one of them arrived broken. This washing machine requires a shock absorber, part W10739670. So the installation was pretty easy. YouTube videos showing how to install them require a 16mm metric ratchet and 17mm wrench. My washing machine does not use the metric system. I needed 5/8" and 11/16" to get the job done. I'm crossing my fingers to withstand the pressure of regular use.
