Sturdy construction adds character.
I've looked at several of these "block calendars", or rather, this is my fourth. Every previous purchase has disappointed me. Previous products were warped, had chipped or peeling surfaces, or fell apart on their own within days of ownership. I have had this block calendar for 7 months now. Still a pleasure to use. The wood is hard but has a soft surface. The part holding the handles and such now houses three solid scissors and is not bent or deformed. This calendar is a welcome addition to my workspace. A good addition for the observant consumer.
