I have a 2009 GS450h with an aluminum hood. I thought there would be problems because it's lighter than the steel version. Absolutely no problem. The old struts worked but tired and could damage the skull if the wind closed the hood. A small flathead screwdriver is enough to remove the clips and loosen the old posts. These replacements are absolute OEM clones minus the screen markings on the old ones. I cleaned the old ball joints and coated them with grease. The new bushings were already lubricated. The entire job, including opening the hood and unpacking the package, took less than 5 minutes.
