This is a really great tripod. Yes, it can be knocked over with little effort or on a surface with enough angle, but it's far more durable than most other selfie stick/tripod/compact design combos, so they did a great job, especially when you think about it how slim it is. I admit it's a bit heavy for me (a skinny woman) like a selfie stick, but in a pinch it's possible. I don't think this is a problem for most men. I didn't give it a single star because I think it turns off due to its durability. My only gripe with this is that there are preset angles for the camera to point, this really limits it and forces the user to get creative at times. Didn't use the remote so can't speak for it but I love how they say it works with Bluetooth and not an app.
