Review on ๐ŸŽธ Wireless Wii Guitar Hero Controller - Compatible with Guitar Hero Wii and Rock Band 2 Games (Excluding Rock Band 1) - Black by Ken Hamdan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It may look like a guitar controller, but it's actually a lifesaver.

BLUF: Works great with Rock Band 2, responds exactly like an OEM guitar and completes our family quartet but arrived with a broken strap mount. Long version: I got an old Wii system with a rock band from a relative. My kids were very excited about the family group night, but then we realized we needed the keys. We finally found it and sent it to us, but my search for a second guitar came to nothing with all the ridiculous prices on the secondary market. I have 6 children. If I can't get four of them to play it at the same time, it hurts more than it's worth. I was ready to dump everything but then I saw this. I was skeptical at first due to some negative reviews. I decided it was worth a try so I ordered it. The guitar came as promised and looked well packaged. The neck comes separately but is easy to attach. It comes with a decent strap, but one of the two plastic mounts was broken, so our strap is mainly decorative. The Wii controller is easy to set up and the guitar plays with no obvious timing discrepancies from another guitar's delay. The buttons are slightly different, so there are slight learning curves. Usually we use it for bass roll and original grand piano for guitar, but sometimes we used it for guitar parts with no problem. For the price, it's a steal and allows our entire Wii/Rock group to take full advantage of the setup. It has already provided hours of family fun and hopefully many more are to come. Recommended for use in a rock band 2, despite a broken strap attachment.
