Great light with little irritation

I started riding my bike around town during COVID time and bought a cheap flashlight because I wasn't sure I could do it would stay. After a few months I decided to upgrade as the cheapness made for a couple of hectic drives home with rapidly declining performance. Context note: I only use this for occasional road riding on a 2021 Trek FX 3 Disc. I didn't use a taillight as I already have a better one. Pros - Battery indicator. This was a must for me when buying the best light. It's so nice to know when to charge instead of guessing or finding out at the wrong time. I usually use the second-brightest mode, and that's more than enough to light up the road in total darkness. battery capacity. I usually only use it for 20-30 minutes at a time and the gauge shows all four lanes after a few rides. shape/size. Many other high-performance lights are bulky rectangles that look out of place on a modern bike. This one is relatively compact and has a streamlined shape that looks great on my handlebars. - Adaptive output. I don't use this often, but it seems to have worked as intended the few times I've had. - installation. This is a pretty standard manual screw mount that even fits the thicker part of my handlebars. After properly aligning/tightening, it didn't move at all. Cons-Heavy (for light). But if you can read the spec, you already know that, and I happily agree when it comes to battery life. mounting connection. The connection point where the slot on the underside of the light slides over the bracket is slightly loosened. There really isn't any risk of falling off as there is a spring loaded tab holding it in place but the light may click a little due to the offset on the mount when riding over rough terrain/gravel.

Pros
  • Sports and Outdoors
Cons
  • Not as bulky as other options
