I liked the design and concept of the adjustable spoon/cup. The metal parts of these spoons are very easy to care for and clean. I have doubts about the plastic parts. To clean, I had to take out the plastic part, wash the metal and plastic parts separately, and wipe them down before moving on to the next ingredient, rather than just a quick rinse. As a result, the adjustable part quickly lost its appeal. I kept reaching for my custom shovels, not these. Also, it looks like the plastic piece won't last forever like the metal piece, at which point it will only be individual pieces of 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, and 1/2 cup. For these reasons I returned them.
