Review on VisionTek Radeon 5450 2GB DDR3 Graphics Card Review: DVI-I, HDMI, VGA - 900861, Black/Red by Douglas Irwin

Required HDMI output for older Win7 desktop that only had integrated graphics with no HDMI output so I streamed video to Smart TV. The VisionTek AMD 5450/2GB is priced right for this non-gaming gamer, easy to install on the phone and update drivers from AMD website. The latest version available was a 2015 build. After completing all the installation steps, we restarted the rig and checked the video. Compatible with HP 22 inch. Widescreen and HDMI cables, ultra-clear, pixel-free streaming on Netflix, etc. So far so good. HOWEVER, when the PC wakes up from sleep, it forces a reboot every time. Get "Windows did not shut down properly" error and check Windows "dump" file, problem is GPU. I deleted it with the DDU utility and reinstalled the AMD driver - the problem persisted. Searching Google for the problem shows that this is a problem with some AMD cards, but the problem cannot be fixed yet. The best solution is to simply switch off between uses. Without a driver error it would have been 5 stars.
